Tasting Notes

Nose

Heavy floral perfume — lovely rose, juniper, warm citrus oil and coriander, the Vancouver Island coast immediately present

Palate

Extremely floral with spice and pleasant sharpness — light savoury quality from the winged kelp creating ocean earthiness unlike anything in most gins, lemongrass and sea salt with coriander-lavender, grains of paradise tingling

Finish

Complex and agreeable — orange starburst and zest, clove and coriander, candied cherry and rose water, the winged kelp's ocean earthiness persisting as an unforgettable signature

Expert Review

7.7/10

A London Dry gin with coastal ambitions, Sheringham Seaside Gin at 43% ABV balances classic juniper-forward discipline with a maritime identity that sets it apart from more conventional expressions of the style.

This is one of the most genuinely 'seaside' gins I've tried. The coastal botanicals at 43% create a London Dry that's saline, fresh, and utterly evocative. Brilliant Canadian craft.

Sheringham's Seaside Gin from Vancouver Island is a London Dry with genuine sense of place. The maritime botanicals at 43% add a savoury, oceanic dimension that's hard to find elsewhere.

Sheringham Seaside really does capture the ocean. There's a briny, kelp-like quality at 43% ABV that gives this London Dry a unique maritime edge. Refreshing and distinctive.
