First Impressions
Colombo No.7 uses a recipe dating back 70 years with seven botanicals from Sri Lanka's Cinnamon Gardens — including curry leaf and Sri Lankan cinnamon alongside classic London Dry ingredients. The result is classically restrained despite the exotic origins — a true London Dry from the tropics.
Tasting
The nose is subtly spiced with warm cinnamon, earthy ginger and fresh juniper. On the palate, balanced and juniper-forward with herbal curry leaf, peppery spice, zesty citrus and liquorice. The finish is smooth and long with harmonious juniper-citrus balance.
The Bottom Line
Colombo No.7 earns a 7 for exotic ingredients in classically restrained style. The curry leaf is there if you look for it but never overwhelms — just subtle hints of a more exotic place than London. A wonderful companion to spicy food and equally fine in a G&T. 70 years of tropical London Dry heritage.
