First Impressions
Copeland Irish Gin is distilled next to the harbour of Donaghadee, Northern Ireland — twelve organic botanicals including Sea Pink Maritima foraged from the Copeland Islands. Outstanding Gold and Best Contemporary Gin at IWSC 2022 with an incredible 99/100 — one of the highest gin scores ever recorded.
Tasting
The nose is aromatic and elegant with fresh pine and florals. On the palate, sweet berry and botanical flavours with ribbons of spice and juniper weaving throughout, a refreshing bitter kick drawing you back. The finish is refreshing with complex, lingering character.
The Bottom Line
Copeland earns a 9 for a 99/100 at IWSC — virtually perfect. The Sea Pink Maritima from the Copeland Islands gives it a botanical that no other gin can claim, and the twelve organic botanicals create remarkable complexity. At around £35, a world-class Irish gin at an accessible price.
