Juniper front and centre with herbal and floral notes — heather and milk thistle giving sweet warm herbal character

Palate

Juniper forward followed by rosemary and Scots pine — notably smooth with virtually no burn, almost creamy mouthfeel, complete and dry

Finish

Smooth and dry — the Scottish pine and heather lingering with Angus Glens character

First Impressions

Gin Bothy is handmade in small batches in the Angus Glens of Scotland — heather, milk thistle, Scots pine needles, hawthorn root and rosemary give it a distinctly Highland character. A 2-star Great Taste Award winner in 2017.

Tasting

The nose puts juniper front and centre with herbal florals — heather and milk thistle giving sweet warm character. On the palate, juniper forward with rosemary and Scots pine — notably smooth with virtually no burn, almost creamy. The finish is smooth and dry.

The Bottom Line

Gin Bothy earns a 7 for an Angus Glens gin with remarkable smoothness. The virtually zero alcohol burn is distinctive, and the Scottish botanicals — heather, thistle, pine — create genuine Highland identity. A gin best experienced by the fireside.
