First Impressions
Hendrick's Amazonia was inspired by master distiller Lesley Gracie's travels to the Amazon rainforest. Exotic Amazon flora joins the classic Hendrick's eleven botanicals and rose-cucumber infusion. Originally a travel retail exclusive, it brings a vacation feeling home in a bottle.
Tasting
The nose bursts with fresh vibrant tropical citrus and sweet florals. On the palate, juicy citrus followed by juniper and earthy notes — sweet pineapple, orange, lime with guava and dragon fruit hints, the classic rose and cucumber evolving into rich herbal spice. The finish sees cooling cucumber and citrus emerging with gentle earthy undertones.
The Bottom Line
Hendrick's Amazonia earns a 7 — it is bold and divisive. The tropical notes border on artificial for some reviewers, but the Hendrick's base provides enough familiar structure to ground the exotica. A creative limited release that pushes boundaries without quite losing its identity.
