Gentle Oak Influence

Mousehall's cask-aged gin at 42% gets the barrel ageing just right. The oak adds warmth and vanilla without overwhelming the gin character. Smooth, golden, and beautifully balanced between spirit and wood.

Perfectly Aged

The barrel ageing in Mousehall is judged to perfection. At 42% ABV the gin retains its botanical character while gaining gorgeous oak, vanilla, and toffee notes. A beautiful sipping gin that bridges gin and whisky worlds.

Best Cask-Aged Gin Found

Mousehall Cask Aged Gin at 42% is the finest example of barrel-aged gin I have discovered. The oak influence is perfectly calibrated — enough to add depth and warmth without masking the gin botanicals. Vanilla, toffee, juniper, and spice in exquisite harmony. A gin that converts whisky drinkers.

Sophisticated Sipper

Mousehall Cask Aged at 42% is genuinely sophisticated. The barrel ageing adds layers of complexity — warm oak, sweet vanilla, gentle toffee — while respecting the underlying gin character. Serve it in a whisky glass and sip slowly.

Golden Gin Goodness

The golden colour from barrel ageing is inviting, and the flavour at 42% delivers on the promise. Smooth oak and vanilla complement the juniper beautifully. Mousehall have crafted a lovely aged gin.

Warming After-Dinner Gin

This is the perfect after-dinner gin. At 42% the barrel-aged character adds warmth and complexity — oak tannins, vanilla sweetness, and gentle spice over a juniper backbone. Mousehall have got the balance spot on.

Neither Gin Nor Whisky

At 42% Mousehall's barrel-aged gin is well-made but falls into the identity crisis that plagues many aged gins. The oak and vanilla are pleasant, but I find myself wishing for either a fresher gin or a proper whisky. It sits in an awkward middle ground.
