Rock Rose Smoked Orange uses Lapsang Souchong tea for clean pine smoke alongside sweet orange, tangerine sage, pineapple sage and lemon verbena — all grown in the distillery's own geodome and gardens. A flavour profile born from wanting to step outside comfort zones.
Tasting
The nose shows subtle smoke beneath zingy citrus. On the palate, pine smoke settling as candied orange rises — tangerine sage and lemon verbena resolving into sweetness, perfect balance. The finish is long with deep rich smoke lingering.
The Bottom Line
Rock Rose Smoked Orange earns an 8 for walking the smoke-citrus tightrope perfectly. Everything has its place and reason — the Lapsang Souchong adds genuine smoke without overwhelming the orange. Best enjoyed simply over ice or with tonic and orange peel.
