First Impressions
Sky Wave Signature London Dry is distilled in Oxfordshire using thirteen botanicals — including locally foraged blackberries and raspberries — with the distillate reduced to bottling strength using spring water from Blenheim Palace. It won World's Best Contemporary London Dry at the World Gin Awards, 2-star Great Taste, and MASTER at the Gin Masters.
Tasting
The nose delivers a fabulous zingy aroma — creamy white chocolate among oily juniper and lemon peel with subtle berry jam hints. On the palate, dry and spicy with generous juniper, zesty citrus, earthy tea-like orris and assertive ginger, cardamom and coriander spice. The finish is intense, warm and spicy with nutty notes.
The Bottom Line
Sky Wave earns an 8 for World's Best Contemporary London Dry — and the award is deserved. The Blenheim Palace spring water adds provenance, and the thirteen botanicals create remarkable depth. At around £38, an Oxfordshire gin that outperforms gins costing twice as much.
