Blackcurrant without the sugar

Unlike many fruit gins, Tanqueray Royale keeps the sweetness in check. The blackcurrant flavour at 41.3% is deep and jammy without being syrupy. A sophisticated take on fruity gin.

Best blackcurrant gin available

Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale is head and shoulders above other blackcurrant gins. At 41.3% the balance between classic London Dry and rich French blackcurrant is absolutely perfect. Royale by name, royale by nature.

Sophisticated evening gin

Blackcurrant Royale feels like an evening gin — rich, deep, and sophisticated. At 41.3% the Tanqueray DNA shines through beneath the French blackcurrant notes. Wonderful with a splash of Champagne.

Regal blackcurrant gin

Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale adds a sophisticated French twist with Royale black currants. At 41.3% it is rich and fruity while maintaining Tanqueray's signature London Dry backbone. Elegant and moreish.

Nice concept, average execution

The blackcurrant flavour at 41.3% is pleasant enough but feels a bit muted compared to what I expected from the Royale branding. It is fine but I wanted more intensity from those French blackcurrants.

Luxurious fruit gin

The Royale name suits this perfectly. Rich French blackcurrant paired with Tanqueray's classic London Dry base at 41.3% creates something genuinely luxurious. Beautiful over ice with a premium tonic.

Classy addition to Tanqueray

Tanqueray have expanded their range nicely with this blackcurrant expression. At 41.3% it has good strength and the fruit integrates well with the juniper base. A step above most supermarket fruit gins.
