Expert Review

7.2/10

Beefeater's blood orange expression is a smartly priced flavoured gin that leans on the bittersweet depth of its hero botanical. At 37.5% ABV it's built for long drinks rather than contemplation, but the Beefeater backbone keeps it honest.

8/10

Beefeater's blood orange is proper crowd-pleasing stuff. The citrus is natural and bright, and there's still enough gin character underneath at 37.5%. Perfect for warm weather drinking.

The blood orange flavour is genuinely pleasant and not artificial-tasting, but at 37.5% ABV it feels a bit thin and lacking in body. I wish they'd kept the strength up to give it more presence in a G&T.

The blood orange really lifts this gin. It's vibrant and juicy without being overly sweet. A solid flavoured offering from Beefeater that works brilliantly with tonic and ice.
