Tasting Notes

Nose

Exceedingly floral with rose, lotus blossom and earthy notes — quinine immediately evident like a gin and tonic, fruity and floral aromatics

Palate

Sweet citrus and chamomile early, wormwood as dominant bittering agent mid-palate, unmistakable quinine bitterness — floral rose with sharp tang as quinine and wormwood wash through

Finish

Quinine enduring after all other botanicals drop away — nicely bitter but never overwhelming, spicy warm lemony then bitter

Hendrick's master distiller has pushed boundaries here and the result is brilliant. The quinine, wormwood, and lotus blossom additions create depth and intrigue at 43.4%. A gin for people who think they've tried everything.

Maxwell Green VIPsAllowed — Beyond the ordinary
9/10

Orbium is Hendrick's at its most ambitious. The lotus blossom florality, quinine bitterness, and wormwood herbaceousness create something quite unlike any other gin. At 43.4% it's boldly experimental and thoroughly rewarding.

Tomas Rivera VIPsAllowed — Unique sipping experience
8/10

Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks — adding tonic doubles up on the quinine. At 43.4% it's smooth enough to sip, with layers of herbal complexity from the wormwood. A truly distinctive London Dry.
