Hendrick's Orbium Gin
London Dry 43.4% ABVExperimental genius
Hendrick's master distiller has pushed boundaries here and the result is brilliant. The quinine, wormwood, and lotus blossom additions create depth and intrigue at 43.4%. A gin for people who think they've tried everything.
Beyond the ordinary
Orbium is Hendrick's at its most ambitious. The lotus blossom florality, quinine bitterness, and wormwood herbaceousness create something quite unlike any other gin. At 43.4% it's boldly experimental and thoroughly rewarding.
Unique sipping experience
Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks — adding tonic doubles up on the quinine. At 43.4% it's smooth enough to sip, with layers of herbal complexity from the wormwood. A truly distinctive London Dry.
Hendrick's pushed further
Orbium takes the Hendrick's template and adds quinine, wormwood, and blue lotus blossom. At 43.4% it's more assertive than the original. The result is genuinely fascinating — a London Dry that drinks almost like a gin and tonic.
Too unusual for me
Hendrick's Orbium pushes into experimental territory with quinine and wormwood alongside the cucumber and rose. At 43.4% it's well-made, but the flavour profile is quite polarising. The bitterness from the quinine doesn't sit right with me. Intriguing but not something I'd buy again.
Botanical complexity
The quinine adds a built-in tonic-like bitterness that's clever and unusual. The wormwood brings herbal depth, and the blue lotus adds florality. At 43.4% Hendrick's Orbium rewards adventurous gin drinkers.
A gin ahead of its time
Hendrick's Orbium at 43.4% is visionary gin-making. The addition of quinine, wormwood, and blue lotus blossom to the Hendrick's foundation creates a spirit of extraordinary depth and complexity. It challenges what gin can be. I've never tasted anything quite like it, and I mean that as the highest compliment.
