Tasting Notes

Nose

Suggestive of genever — warm hay and malted grain, yeasty brewery aromas, with lime zest and herbaceous juniper adding colour and character

Palate

Rye base evident at the front with notes of beer schnapps, botanicals take over mid-palate with aniseed, cracked black peppercorn, and quite a bit of citrus

Finish

Long and warm with rye spiciness lingering, juniper adding scintillating pine, dry with slight peppery tingle and woody earthiness

Expert Review

8/10

A boundary-pushing gin distilled from a rye base spirit — warm, grainy, whiskey-like at the foundation, with juniper reasserting itself through peppercorn, caraway, and citrus.
