First Impressions
Ben Lomond Blackberry & Gooseberry infuses the Double Gold-winning base with natural blackberry and gooseberry essences. The combination balances succulent sweetness with sharp tang — Silver at The Gin Masters 2020.
Tasting
The nose shows rich dark fruit with juniper crispness. On the palate, tart gooseberry and blackberry with coriander and juniper — sweet yet zesty. The finish has fresh strawberry with liquorice.
The Bottom Line
Ben Lomond B&G earns a 7 for dark fruit gin with built-in tartness. The gooseberry prevents the blackberry from being merely sweet, and the Double Gold base ensures gin character. At around £22, fantastic value for flavoured gin.
