Tasting
The nose shows juicy grapefruit and fresh strawberries with tart berry against herbaceous juniper. On the palate, tangy rhubarb blending with bittersweet cranberry — juniper with coriander and sweet orris root, warming spices. The finish is dry and lingering.
The Bottom Line
Brecon Rhubarb & Cranberry earns a 7 for a fruit gin where the cranberry bitterness prevents the rhubarb from becoming merely sweet. Award-winning quality at around £24. Best with tonic, frozen strawberries and cucumber.
