Conker Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur: The UK's First Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur From Dorset

7 /10
EDITOR
Distillery: Conker Spirit Distillery
Type: Flavoured
ABV: 22% ABV
Price: £25
Botanicals: brazilian coffee, ethiopian coffee, vanilla, demerara sugar

Tasting Notes

Nose

Dark rich coffee — earthy espresso with vanilla and chocolate undertones

Palate

Earthy and enjoyably bitter — vanilla and brown sugar sweetness, no acidic taste thanks to cold brewing, natural creamy chocolatey subtlety

Finish

Complex dark and fruity — the dual-roast Brazilian-Ethiopian combination creating depth no single origin could achieve

First Impressions

Conker launched the UK's first cold brew coffee liqueur in 2017 — Brazilian beans roasted dark for cacao-caramel, Ethiopian roasted light for sweetness and citrus. Both from Dorset's Beanpress Coffee Co., completely free of flavourings.

Tasting

The nose is dark rich coffee with vanilla. On the palate, earthy and bitter with vanilla-brown sugar, no cold-brew acidity, natural creamy chocolate. The finish is complex and dark.

The Bottom Line

Conker Cold Brew earns a 7 for the UK's first flavouring-free coffee liqueur. The dual-roast approach creates genuine coffee complexity, and the Dorset provenance (Beanpress beans, Conker distilling) adds craft credibility. Espresso Martini essential.
