First Impressions
Mór Wild Berry is the fruit expression from Eoin Bara's Arderin Distillery in Tullamore — the same house that produces the original Mór Irish Gin with Slieve Bloom mountain water. Triple berries — raspberries, blackberries, and cranberries — are infused into the gin alongside juniper, coriander, angelica, and rosemary. The name means 'big' in Irish, and the berry flavour matches.
Tasting
The nose is big and bold berry with raspberry and blackberry dominating. On the palate, earthy at first with coriander and rosemary, then sweet and juicy with bundles of fresh berry notes. Not overpowering — mellow and unique. The finish is smooth with sweet-tart berries giving way to herbal rosemary and angelica.
The Bottom Line
Mór Wild Berry earns a 7 — a berry gin where the rosemary and angelica prevent it from becoming mere fruit juice. The Slieve Bloom mountain water adds the same softness as the original. At £30, an Irish berry gin that's awesome for newcomers and satisfying for enthusiasts.
