Tasting Notes

Nose

Intense juniper and spiciness followed by pepper, mint and citrus — surprisingly fruit-heavy with sweet orange and grapefruit notes before gentle juniper hit

Palate

Light yet intense with concentrated flavours — spice spicier, pepper more peppery, lemon and orange like biting into fresh peel — pleasant medium weight with oregano, thyme and bitter herbs

Finish

Luxurious mouthfeel with peppery lingering — more bite and less vanilla sweetness than the standard expression

Expert Review

8/10

Double Gold at the International Spirits Challenge — the classic Caorunn recipe at a powerful 54% ABV, where the foraged Highland botanicals become more intense, the spice spicier, and the citrus more vivid.
